Gift Sensations began in Sydney, Australia in the Spring of 1999, with our founder tired of the expensive, poor quality Christmas gifts that typically circulated around corporate society.
What began as a simple mail-order business quickly grew into one of Australia’s pioneering web commerce companies, alongside the “dot-com boom” of the late 1990s, as we began to transition from traditional methods of business into becoming purely online. As such, we became one of the very first e-commerce sites selling gifts to Australian families and businesses.
Gift Sensations’ runaway success persisted throughout the 2000s, the 2010s, and continues into the 2020s, as consumers and businesses alike embrace the convenience of online shopping.
Making a splash for the regions…
In the 2010s, we opened manufacturing facilities in the Central Coast and Hunter Valley regions north of Sydney. Allowing our creativity to flourish, and develop more fruitful partnerships with local food and wine producers has resulted in even better quality products, more value for our customers, and directly supporting Australian farmers, wineries and gourmet kitchens. Our Hunter Valley premises is strategically located amongst Newcastle’s transport and freight hubs, ensuring rapid delivery throughout the eastern coast of Australia and with excellent road access to rural and regional locations.
